(DEH/DLG). D. Entrup-Haselbach frozen baked goods in Gevelsberg celebrated a great success. The company received the bronze “Prize of the Best” from the DLG (German Agricultural Association). The DLG gives this prestigious award to honor the sustained high quality of companies in the European foodstuffs industry. This year, the prizes were awarded at a formal awards ceremony at the “DLG-Lebensmitteltage,” the convention for the German food industry in Darmstadt.

Cold store gets under way
At the beginning of June a new building project is commencing at the DEH production facility.A cold store is being constructed on the site at Im Kiwitt 28. The continuous expansions of the production facilities in recent years has required investment or more than a million Euros, according to a press release issued by the company.The investment will result in further improvements in production processes and product quality.

Turnover targets for 2009 have been met
The global economic and financial downturn is making its presence felt everywhere.Many companies need support and are introducing short-time working. “But it is no use just waiting for better times”, explains the founder of the DEH company, Doris Entrup, who established the family business with its head office in Gevelsberg in 1987.“Breaking new ground in spite of the crisis” is her motto and the company has therefore invested widely in new machines and technology in the past months.

NRW State Prize for Food
Environment Minister Eckhard Uhlenberg conferred the NRW State Prize for Food (Landesehrenpreis für Lebensmittel NRW) in the functional food category on another 35 companies at the Innovation Congress of the NRW Food Cluster in Bonn today. With this, around 110 manufacturers of food products have received this distinction. “The State Prize is an ‘award of the best’, it honours the quality and taste of North Rhine Westphalia food”, said Minister Uhlenberg before conferring the award.

Additional DLG Awards for D. Entrup-Haselbach
(DLG/DEH). Once again, DLG’s (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) test centre for food products distinguished the company D. Entrup-Haselbach (DEH) from Gevelsberg for the high quality of its products. They were awarded five gold medals, eleven silver and thirteen bronze medals for bakery products and pastries during the international DLG quality test. Products that receive DLG awards must undergo a comprehensive sensory analysis.

(DEH/DLG). The Test Center Food of the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) has awarded “Best of the Best” prize in Bronze to the company D.
